2016 Front runners

Hey Gang,
First off, let me start by saying we had a dream team full of people running for the GOP nomination this year. Sadly, many of the best have already dropped out, (or are soon to) and after Super Tuesday, we will probably be down to three.
Illegal immigration and its effect on the American worker seems to be a huge issue this race, and i think it should be. Since the media seems to be all Trump, all the time, its up to us smaller bloggers and media outlets to make the case for anyone without their name on a building.
I give you, Ted Cruz ...

To Donald Trump's credit, he did bring the issue of Illegal immigration and Syrian refugee location to the forefront of the discussion. Not only did he bring it up, but proved it could be a winning issue for candidates. Who would have thought, prioritizing American workers and taxpayers over foreign ones would be something people would appreciate (yes, that is sarcasm)!
But because The Donald is the loudest voice, does that mean he is the only voice standing up for Americans? When Marco Rubio and his "Gang of Eight" put forth their proposed Amnesty for illegal immigrants, Senator Lee and Cruz were at the forefront of that fight. Cruz even proposed an amendment to the bill, allowing illegals to stay, but with NO WAY TO EVER VOTE just to prove the point that the Democrats just want brown skinned new Dem voters.
What about Cruz's time in the Federal Trade Commission ferreting out cronyism and making sure the American worker got a fair shake? Or all his time fighting for the Constitution in front of the Supreme Court?
Trump has flip-flopped on government run healthcare, Cruz has never waivered, and fought Obamacare tooth and nail, including a 21 hour filibuster, even when his party wouldn't support him!
Trump is an admitted ex-liberal whose views have "evolved like Regan" ... but Reagan had many years in the California State House fighting for Conservative values before taking the White House ... Trump has been "Conservative" for about ten minutes. Trump has seemingly adopted some Conservative ideas (Like Ben Carson's Health Savings Plan) as recently as the debate cycle. While I can respect someone who is willing to adopt great ideas, even if they aren't theirs, I don't trust Trump who seems to adopt these talking points more for political expediency than actual admiration for the ideas. Even if it is true, he is willing to take these ideas on his own, his positions seem to "eveolve" so fast I fear where they will drift next. I would rather vote the man who has been crystal clear on the issues since day one in public life. Ted Cruz. I think PJ Media fill sin the details better than I could: https://pjmedia.com/spengler/2015/11/24/daves-top-10-reasons-to-vote-for-ted-cruz/

OPEN LETTER FROM A BUSINESS OWNER TO THE PROGRESSIVE LEFT

I am a small business owner and I hear the terms "Fair Share" and "Equal Pay" thrown around a lot with no real clear definition of what that means.
Am I not entitled to keep the money I have earned? If I decide to give it away, shouldn't it be my decision as to how much and to whom? Maybe I want to reward some great efforts by my employees? Perhaps I could start a Foundation for school kids in Uganda? Heck, maybe I just want to keep it all, throw it in my pool and swim in my money! In any case, what is your "Fair Share" of my money?

And there lies the big problem. People always want to be "Equal" to the guy or girl when they are on top. But when I first started my company, and had to pay a fee to the State just for the "right" to sell my services, who wanted to be "Equal" then?
When I labored tirelessly in my basement, working late nights, weekends and even holidays to build a humble client base, who wanted a "fair share" of my workload? When i maxed out all my credit cards just trying to buy enough gear and supplies to run a company, who wanted their "Fair Share" of my debts? When I was finally able to save enough pennies to buy a small office, which one of you Progressives wanted to "share" in making my down payment? Every month when I pay the mortgage, pay the electricity, the internet bill, the State and Federal taxes, pay for my own health insurance, pay the Book keeper, the Accountant, Pay my vendors and my employees ... all before I see a single dime in my pocket ... where are the Social Justice Warriors pitching in to make sure I can pay all those people?
If after all that, paying all the bills, working all the hours, missing all the kids activities, I still can't make it work; where are all the people wanting to be "equal" with me with no unemployment insurance to soften the blow if I fail? The SBA states that 66 percent of new businesses fail within their first two years ... where are all the people clamoring to be like those people?
If I somehow defy the odds though, if I can make my business turn a profit after paying the utilities, the banks, the taxes, the salaries, the vendors, the accountants and everyone else with a hand out ... NOW you want to know where your "Fair Share" is? If you don't share in any of the pain, why on earth do you feel entitled to any of the profit? I am a generous man, and help my community where I can, but the idea that I am some sort of villain for wanting to keep the money I have  gone through hell and back to earn is insulting.
"Oh, we don't mean you ... we mean Big companies like Wal-Mart and McDonalds." Ok, fine, answer me this then Progressive Left ... when in your mind is the turning point? When does a small business turn evil? When it helps provide jobs for ten employees? 100 employees? 1000? Seriously, I want an answer ... I need to know when my humble endeavor is going to become an evil empire. Wal-Mart employees over 2 MILLION people! That is 2 million people who have money in their pocket every week because small businessman Sam Walton worked his ass off to build something. No one at Wal-Mart works there at gun point. Every person who has ever gotten a job at Wal-Mart did so knowing what the job paid. So tell me, when does a company, that voluntarily hires people at an agreed upon wage, become an evil corporation? We're waiting ...

Prayers? We don't need no stinking prayers! We need Carbon tax!

First off, my thoughts and prayers go with the families of all those involved. Yes, I said prayers (gasp). I am not overtly religious, but even if you are not religious at all, to attack those of faith who offer prayers is sick.

In a prominently Christian country, in a city named after a fucking saint, you cannot offer prayers anymore without being attacked? The humanity is gone, and people still want to blame inanimate objects for the demise of civilization? The same people that would mock someone for offering prayers, which for many is a sign of caring about the person and wishing them well, would not blink if someone wished them "good luck." Somehow the abstract concept of luck, or fate, or even superstitions are allowed but if you put a face on some of these concepts like "God" you are a wacko? It's time to start putting the Civil back into civilization!
Part one of the rant is now concluded. Part two has to do with our "leadership." The "Green tyranny" needs to be stopped. Obama and his administration are more concerned with "Global Warming" (or the more generic and conveniently named "Climate Change"), then terrorism? Really? People are dying, being shot, be-headed, and blown up and Obama is more concerned with Climate summits that do nothing and flying Syrians halfway across the world? You can make all the "gun control" quips you want Barry, but California has some of the toughest gun regulations in the country and they failed. And none of those laws cover the bomb factory the terrorists had either! Now Jeff Sessions and Ted Cruz are demanding to see how these terrorists got into the country. If they find a smoking gun on your lax immigration and Visa systems can we talk about that then, or will you still blame a piece of metal?

Just Saying ...

Let me first begin by saying I am not terribly religious. For full disclosure I do go to church, but it is a completely inclusive "open affirming" congregation. I enjoy the community church offers, though I take much of the bible with a grain of salt.
As someone of mitigated faith, I have never felt the need to "choose a side" between those of faith and the secular community. I don't think it was ever an issue growing up, but it seems more and more the Liberal secular members of society are throwing down the gauntlet, and forcing a conflict. Either you reject the church, and believe everything they believe 100% or get labeled "the enemy." I truly feel if people cared about "equality," they would find a way to allow for everyone to have their own views. Sadly Liberals are not truly interested in equality, they want every right and privilege awarded to every American, AND special treatments. They truly do not understand the very word they tend to stand for.
As Liberals continue to demand capitulation to their views, they continue to divide. I truly believe this strategy will backfire though as more and more people side with religion. Admittedly there are crackpots on the extreme Right as well as the LEFT I would not want to hang with, but in general, as the moral decline of our country continues under Liberal direction, more people will be forced to choose a side, and the side with a strong moral foundation will look more and more appealing.
Maybe that is not the truth, maybe it is merely a hope. Because if I am proven wrong, that would mean more and more people are willing to embrace our moral decline, and if that is the truth we are faced with, then circle the wagons folks, because the societal collapse is not far behind.
